Features of KTM 250 Adventure
Engine and Exhaust
The KTM 250 Adventure comes with a state-of-the-art liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 250cc engine which is equipped with an electric starter. The power delivery and performance of the engine is supported by the overhead camshafts, four valves, and electronic fuel injection. Besides, the catalytic converter and fuel tank ventilation system enhance the emission values and prevent fuel vapors from being released into the environment thus, becoming eco-friendly.
TRANSMISSION
The KTM 250 Adventure model is equipped with a robust 6-speed sequential gearbox that fits perfectly to the power band of the 250 cc engine. The bike allows riders to smoothly select and change the gear in both on-road and off-road situations.
CHASSIS
Like KTM 450 RALLY, the KTM 250 Adventure is built with an ultra-lightweight but extremely stable trellis frame which enhances stability and controllability. These two aspects are the backbone for the adventure riders.
BRAKES
The KTM 250 Adventure features large 320 mm high-quality front BYBRE brakes and 230 mm rear disc brakes. Moreover, the bike is equipped with a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) manufactured by BOSCH which guarantees the highest safety standard.
FUEL TANK
The fuel tank of the bike stands as the central element of the design and engineering and it offers excellent ergonomics. The fuel capacity is 14.5 liters and the company claims the bike runs more than 400kms non-stop on a full tank.
ERGONOMICS AND COMFORT
The KTM 250 Adventure is equipped with a high-end, tapered steel handlebar that offers positional riding comfort and maximum control. The two-part seat of the bike provides comfort and control on long rides.
The windshield of the bike allows rider to move around the bike freely and offers undisturbed view even when covered in dirt.
DESIGN AND GRAPHICS
The KTM 250 Adventure is designed with distinctive KTM-style bodywork with rally bikes inspired aggressive look that offers excellent ergonomics. The color of the bike is produced in such a way that it helps the bike to appear fresh even after getting scratched. The shape of the fuel tank is designed to allow the rider freedom of movement and quality control.
Besides, the low front fender provides better aerodynamics while a robust engine guard protects the engine and exhaust when exposed to dirt.
SOFTWARE AND ELECTRONICS
The KTM provides the electronic rider aid that provide more control and performance for riders of all levels of ability.
The company has added an offroad ABS function mode to its KTM 250 Adventure model in which the ABS is deactivated on the rear wheel while ABS activation on the front wheel is reduced. This mode allows riders to lock up the rear wheel and steer the rear end into corners. In addition, it also prevents over-regulated front wheel braking, or the opposite of too much front brake pressure, ensuring effective braking power in the dirt conditions.
