The Tesla Cybertruck is a battery-powered electric light-duty truck announced by the Tesla company which will begin production from the year 2022. The company has production layouts for three models of the Cybertruck.
The three different models of the Tesla Cybertruck are Single Motor RWD Cybertruck, Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck, and Tri-Motor AWD Cybertruck.
The main goal of the Tesla company to introduce the Cybertruck is to offer a sustainable energy vehicle in replacement to the 6500 fossil-fuel-powered trucks.
Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, decided to build a truck with load-compensating suspension. He discussed this project between the year 2012 and 2013 and also made comparisons with a Ford F-250. In early 2014, Musk assumed it would take 4 to 5 years for the initiation of the Cybertruck project.
Musk showed intent for a new kind of consumer pickup truck in mid-2016 and planned to use the same chassis for a van and a pickup truck. The Cybertruck is meant to be a game-changer with advanced features and the size is estimated to be at least a Ford F-150. This idea was estimated in late 2017.
In late 2018, Musk prepared for a prototype of Cybertruck to be displayed in 2019. During the launch of the Tesla Model Y in March 2019, Elon Musk revealed a teaser image of a vehicle depicting a cyberpunk or Blade Runner style. The image of the vehicle resembled a futuristic armoured personnel carrier.
The Cybertruck was launched under a graffiti-themed logo of “Cybertruck” in November 2019 at the Tesla Design Studio, next to SpaceX headquarters in Los Angeles. During the launch, Musk highlighted increasing the dynamic air suspension travel of the Cybertruck for enhanced off-road performance.
Features of Tesla Cybertruck
DESIGN
According to Musk, the design of the Tesla Cybertruck is influenced by Blade Runner and the Lotus Esprit used by James Bond in the movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me‘. The 30x-series cold-rolled stainless body panels of the truck cannot be stamped like other conventional automobile parts.
The design team planned to use titanium for the external parts however, they came up with the decision to use stainless steel for more strength and reliability.
EXOSKELETON
The Tesla Cybertruck is manufactured with an exterior shell that features ultimate durability and passenger protection. Every component of the truck is designed for optimum strength and endurance. The exterior shell is built with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton whereas the components are built from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin and Tesla armour glass.
ULTRA-HARD 30X COLD-ROLLED STAINLESS STEEL
The design team said they would use the strongest material for the production of Cybertruck. So, they came up with a decision to utilize ultra-hard 30x cold-rolled stainless steel that will eliminate dents, damage, and long-term corrosion.
The steel with a smooth monochrome exoskeleton puts the shell on the outside of the car and provides you and your passengers maximum protection.
TESLA ARMOR GLASS
The armoured glass material on the Tesla Cybertuck is built with an Ultra-strong glass and polymer-layered composite that can absorb and redirect impact force for improved performance and damage tolerance.
VERSATILE UTILITY

VAULT-LIKE STORAGE
The Cybertruck provides 100 cubic feet of exterior lockable storage including the under-bed, frunk, and sail pillars. This storage lets you store your toolbox, tire, and Cyberquad.
ADAPTIVE AIR SUSPENSION
The Tesla Cybertruck allows you to raise and lower suspension four inches in either direction for easy access to Cybertruck or the vault, while self-levelling capabilities adapt to any occasion and assist with every job.
FLEXIBLE INTERIOR
The Cybertruck has the capacity for accommodating 6 people along with additional storage under the second-row seats. Besides, it offers an advanced 17-inch touchscreen as an all-new customized user interface.
Other interior features include a fold-down front middle seat for the armrest, a race car style steering yoke, a digital rear-view camera-based mirror, and a dashboard with a surface resembling marble.
The rear middle seat can be folded to allow loading long cargo extending into the cab from the vault which is an enclosed lockable bed.
AWESOME ADAPTABILITY
The Cybertruck is completely adaptable in varying conditions from rugged to refined. The onboard power and compressed air along with a versatile utilitarian design are prepared to provide the ultimate experience.
PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY
The powerful drivetrain and low centre of gravity offer excellent traction control and torque that enables acceleration from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and up to 500 miles of range. The electric truck features a new class of strength, speed, and versatility.

Tesla Cybertruck Camper
Automobile enthusiasts and camping lovers have been dreaming about the camping feature on the Tesla Cybertruck. The Tesla company doesn’t have plans for launching a camper version of the Cybertruck however, we have a third-party Tesla Cybertruck camper system known as ‘CyberLandr’ that fulfils our adventure needs.
Unlike traditional campers, the CyberLandr fits entirely within the Cybertruck’s bed cavity when closed. The four-season, off-grid camper including a kitchen, bedroom, living room, and separate bathroom pop up when the bed cavity is expanded.
This third-party design adds zero drag to the Cybertruck’s aerodynamics and weighs just 1,200 pounds which is less than half of the Cybertruck’s maximum payload limit of 3,500 pounds.
As the truck is electric, the CyberLandr system is also fully electric and it does not require an additional power bank. This system shares power by just plugging into the Cybertruck power system and also sends back energy from the magnificent 500 watts of solar panels equipped on its expanding roof.
