Kia Motors Nepal is launching its first Hybrid flagship the newest member of its large family SUV Sorento Hybrid, the Korean auto giant Kia has managed to find a way to make the concept very compelling with features packed. Design
The new Sorento has evolved with a new ‘tiger nose’ grille, displaying a wider shape which organically wraps around the integrated LED headlights on each side. The sharper, more assertive appearance is complemented by a wider lower air intake, to channel air around the car. Sleek and sharp LED headlights, powerfully designed to light the way, not only in the dark of night, but in broad daylight. A muscular shape equipped with alloy designed to complement the Sorento’s athletic design of the body for striking presence on the road.
The instant torque of the combined electric motor and the turbocharged engine gives a thrilling driving new experience. Unlike other “gearless” hybrids, Sorento Hybrid shifts by wire through a full gearbox. Extended Road Trip Range lasts longer with Sorento Hybrid’s range of up to an estimated 655 miles. No charging stations or at-home charging is necessary the vehicle recharges its battery while driving, including through regenerative braking. Four drive modes adjust the throttle response, gearshift points, regenerative braking, and more, so the car can push for more power or conserve battery charge.

Performance
With the hybrid engine, it is a 1.6L Turbocharged 4-Cylinder Petrol engine with a 44.2kW Electromagnetic Motor. It can generate a max power of 227PS and a max torque of 350Nm. Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed AT transmission with a Parallel Drive system. The hybrid motor is based on a TMED structure, supported by a 1.49 kWh battery. Firstly, the AC motor is used to drive up to 25Kmph. After that, TGDi Petrol engine takes over while splitting transmission while accelerating.
